The PADI Wreck Diver Course with New Wave Divers in Boracay Philippines

The lure of exploring sunken vessels, airplanes and automobiles is something most divers can't resist. The PADI Wreck Diver Specialty course introduces you to wreck diving and helps you develop the skills and knowledge necessary for safe and fun wreck diving. Boracay Philippines has Camia a wreck dive that is many diver's favorite dive. It is a fun dive with much to see and do underwater, your dive master at New Wave will take you for this adventure and teach you the skills you will need for all wreck diving.

     -Prerequisite: PADI Adventure Diver or PADI Advanced Open Water Diver certification (or qualifying

      certification from another organization)

     -Minimum age: 15 years old

     -Recommended course hours: 24

     -Minimum open water training: four dives over two days

Information contained in your wreck diver program includes:

     -The planning, organization, procedures, techniques, problems and hazards of wreck diving

     -The preparation and use of lights, air supplies, special equipment, penetration lines and reels

     -Limited-visibility diving techniques and emergency procedures

The Fun Part is being in Boracay!

The fun part of the PADI Wreck Diver course is visiting wrecks, unlocking mysteries and starting to gain the knowledge and experience that allows you to see things that others overlook. Sometimes, only the trained, experienced eye recognizes that a small hole or open door likely caused the vessel’s demise.

Get College Credit

You may be able to earn college credit for the PADI Wreck Diver Specialty course.

What You Learn

  • Techniques for diving exploring shipwrecks, and how to avoid common hazards
  • How to research and learn the background of your favorite wrecks
  • Wreck scuba diving equipment considerations
  • Considerations and techniques for entering intact wrecks
  • Experience in planning, organizing and making at least four wreck dives under the supervision of your PADI Instructor

Your Next Adventure

Many shipwrecks are often found in deeper water. That’s why the PADI Wreck Diver course is a natural companion to the PADI Deep Diver course. Sometimes you can take these two specialties concurrently.
