PADI Advanced Open Water Diver Course with New Wave Divers in Boracay, Philippines

The PADI Advanced Open Water Diver course can be completed in as little as 2 days. This course consists of 2 Core Dives (Deep and Underwater Navigation) and 3 Elective Dives such as underwater photography, night or wreck dive. By completing 5 Adventure Dives, you gain more knowledge of such diving activities, as well as more experience while diving under the supervision of a PADI Dive Instructor.

Upon completion, you earn the PADI Advanced Open Water Diver certification, which qualifies you to continue your dive education by earning the PADI Rescue Diver or Specialty Diver certifications such as Deep Diver or Enriched Air Nitrox Diver.

To participate in the PADI Advanced Open Water Diver course, you must:

     -Be at least 12 years old.

     -Be a PADI Open Water Diver, Adventure Diver or hold a qualifying certification from another agency.

Note: Participants who are 12 to 14 years of age will receive the PADI Junior Advanced Open Water Diver certification, and are allowed to dive to a maximum of only 21 meters, while divers aged 15 and up can go to 30 meters during this course.

The Scuba Gear You Use

You use all the basic scuba gear  including your underwater compass. Depending on which three adventure dives you pick, you may also try out underwater photography equipment , DPVs (underwater scooters), a dive light, a dry suit, lift bags, a dive flag/float or other specialty gear.

PADI’s Adventures in Diving Manual and DVD provide information on more than 16 types of specialty diving. You’ll use them as a guidebook to improve your diving skills and prepare for new experiences and adventures.
